The Nordic Society Oikos
Oikos, meaning home, is the root of the word “ecology." The Nordic Society Oikos is a home for ecology in the Nordic region. NSO supports the national ecological societies of the five Nordic countries and engages the global scientific community through its international journals.

Our National Societies
The Nordic Society Oikos is a parent society that unites the national ecological societies of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway. All NSO members have dual membership in one of these national societies. (When you become a member of NSO, you will select which national society you wish to join as well.)

As a member of NSO you join a large and active network of ecologists across the Nordic region and beyond.
