Become a Member

The Nordic Society Oikos is a parent society that unites the national ecological societies of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway. By joining us you receive dual membership in NSO and the national society of your choice. Anyone can become a member; you do not need to be affiliated with the Nordic countries. Your membership begins on the date you join and lasts until the end of the calendar year, after which you can renew it. If you join late in the year (between October 1 and December 31), don’t worry: we will extend your membership automatically through the end of the following year.

Free membership for Master's students

Any Master's student can apply for free membership with any of the national ecological societies. To get free membership, navigate to the page of the national ecological society where you wish to become a member and follow the instructions for free student membership. When confirmed, we will grant you free membership.
