Anders Frugård Opdal

Anders Frugård Opdal is a researcher at the University of Bergen, and part of the Theoretical Ecology Group. He has a background in marine- and fisheries biology, and spends most of his days trying to understand ecological and evolutionary processes through mechanistic models and simulations. A long time endeavour has been to disentangle the evolutionary and demographic effects of intensive harvesting of fish stocks. Currently, Anders is leading a project looking at links between terrestrial processes such as land use change and freshwater browning on coastal ecosystems.
