Marianne Fred

Marianne Fred is the Finnish delegate of the NSO. She is chair of the board for the Oikos Editorial Office (OEO) and a member of the board of Oikos Finland.

Marianne Fred is the Head of Research and Development in Bioeconomy at Novia University of Applied Science/Department of Bioeconomy. Her expertise is in alternative food systems and conservation ecology. Her research investigates Ecosystem Services in all shapes and forms and attempts to apply the ES concept to local policy and decision making. She uses GeoDesign to achieve the application of ES to both science and community.
