Getting #OikosTogether in 2021

Life is still distanced, but we have a wonderful opportunity to be together through our virtual meetings this spring. Between February and May are five conferences hosted by the national societies of Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Norway. You can attend any or all of the free virtual conferences, no matter which national society you belong to—or even if you're not a member! Each society has developed its own approach for meeting during a pandemic, so check out the event listing for conference details.

The Twitter hashtag #OikosTogether is for posting highlights from all five conferences. Regardless of how many of the events you are able to attend, we encourage you to keep an eye on the hashtag feed, help share conference-related posts, and add the hashtag to your own tweets. Are you impressed by a talk? Enjoying a networking event? Getting ready for a presentation of your own? For bonus points, show us where you are in the world (or what you're having for conference meals!) as we all get together virtually. Feel free to tag @NordicOikos, too. We are excited to help share conference experiences across all five Nordic ecological societies, and bring a taste of our ecology extravaganza to the broader community.

#OikosTogether is going strong! So far we have had three excellent virtual conferences in spring 2021, held by the national ecological societies of Finland (February 1-3) and Sweden (February 9-10) and Denmark (March 10).

–May 2021 update:

The 2021 conference season was a massive success, closing out with meetings hosted by the societies of Iceland (April 16-17) and Norway (May 5-6). Click the links to read recaps from the events!
