The Icelandic Ecological Society (VISTÍS) is happy to announce that we will be giving out financial support to students who are attending the NSO Conference in Aarhus in January. // Vistfræðifélag Íslands (VISTÍS) auglýsir hérmeð styrki til umsókna fyrir nemendur sem taka þátt í Norrænu Vistfræðiráðstefnunni (NSO Conference) sem fer fram í Árósum í janúar nk. 

Oikos Finland gives out the prize "The best PhD thesis in ecology and evolutionary biology in Finland". The winner is awarded 500€ and is also invited to give a presentation in the next national Oikos meeting. 

The Nordic Society Oikos has taken over the ownership of Wildlife Biology from the Nordic Council for Wildlife Research (NKV).

Members of the Nordic Society Oikos are called to the General Assembly of the Nordic Society Oikos to be held on 18 January 2022 at 17.30 in Aarhus, Denmark, during the Nordic Oikos 2022 Congress. Location to be announced later.

Journal of Avian Biology will become an Open Access journal 1 January 2022

This spring, our five national societies each took the leap of hosting an online conference for the first time, with extraordinary success all around.

The Norwegian Ecological Society (Norsk økologisk forening) held its conference on May 5-6, bringing a community atmosphere to an online event.

The Icelandic Ecological Society (VISTÍS) held an exciting 2021 meeting on April 16-17.
